    Ready to Join NYASA?

    The New York African Studies Association(NYASA) is open to all those having a scholarly or professional interest in Africana Studies (Africa and African diaspora studies).

    • Admission into the NYASA mentorship program, including participation in the NYASA Research Forum, an interdisciplinary peer-review network.

    Professional Annual Conference Registration: $120

    • For independent scholars, teachers, and university faculty
    • Complimentary Annual Membership in NYASA

    Professional Ten-Year Membership: $500
    Professional Lifetime Membership: $1000

    Institutional Membership: $400 per annum or $3000 for ten years.

    Individual and Corporate Sponsorship

    The New York African Studies Association (NYASA) invests in collaborations with K-12 institutions including teacher training institutes and Africana Studies curricular pedagogy workshops. In collaboration with scholars and institutions across New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont, NYASA also works to advance the core missions of cognizant institutions, including the African Studies Association (ASA), African Studies Association of Africa (ASAA),  Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora, African Heritage Studies Association (AHSA),  and The African Literature Association (ALA). As such, NYASA seeks institutional and corporate sponsorship to facilitate its diverse programs.
