NYASA Publications
New York African Studies Association (NYASA) publishes two popular publications regularly distributed to members and subscribers: NYASA Newslettter and NYASA Journal.
NYASA Newsletter
NYASA Newsletter publishes short (generally 1,000 minimum – 2,000 max words) essays with most issues focusing on a single topic or theme. The brevity of the essays along with the inclusion of op-ed writing styles is meant to create the literary equivalent of informed and lively dinner conversation for readers. The NYASA Newsletter is especially keen to receive fully-thought-out and well-written essays from students, and as part of that we will publish revised versions of the essays.
Members and non-members are advise that the Chief Editor and NYASA Publications Committee reviews all submitted essays to ensure it meets the Writers Guidelines and any requirements established by the committee.
For these reasons, we cannot guarantee that your essays will be published in the upcoming unless it is approved by the Chief Editor and Commitee.
